Police Association Raffling off Firewood.
New Durham October 22, 2009- With the cold weather beginning to settle in throughout the area, the New Durham Police Association is raffling off a cord of seasoned firewood to help a lucky household keep the chilly air away.
The wood was generously donated by David Keslar, owner of Keslar & Associates Insurance in Wolfeboro Falls.
Proceeds will be split between the Association and the fifth grade class at the New Durham School, which is currently raising money for an upcoming week long trip to the Ferry Beach Ecology school in Saco, Maine.
Tickets, priced at $5 each or three for $10, are available at the New Durham Police Department, Sporto's Restaurant and Hot Spots Outfitters. The Drawing will be held during the first selectmen's meeting in November. Free delivery of the wood will be included as part of the prize for any household within a 10 mile radius of the police station.
